Measles is a preventable infectious disease. Good Vaccination prevent it completely. In Pakistan , in recent decade, outbreaks of measles are a usual happening. In my hospital, i treat these patients regularly and it’s a never ending story. It’s a high time to start a national campaign focusing on extensive vaccination strategy against measles. Measles can be fatal. It cause number of complications especially malnutrition, T.B, diarrhea, pneumonia, skin complications, eye complications and neurological problems. Every child has a right to get vaccination against this serious infection. Parents should turn no stone in getting their child vaccinated against measles.
